Going to the chapel of love

One of my close friends got married last night and it was a fabulous wedding. The bride was beautiful, the cake was yummy, and the guests were so fun! We danced all night, stuffed our faces, and hung out way past my bed time.

Love ya Tiff!

Little KC Baby

It is so interesting to me to see my friends growing up. I just had lunch with KC and Holland today and even though I am older I feel like KC is ahead of me in life. Little Holland was so funny. She just smiles and giggles and loves attention. She really did have me laughing so hard and really she was just being cute. Seeing KC with a mini her almost makes me want to have a baby. I am curious to know what a little me would look like. I hope when I do get around to having one that my baby will entertain me like this. Thanks for letting me nuzzle your baby Kace!

Baby Baby Baby

KC came to utah a few weeks back and I finally got to meet baby Holland. She is absolutely adorable and I swear she really did like me. She was all smiles until the camera came out. KC is such a cute mom but it still seems unreal that my friend from way back when has a tiny version of herself. Holland looks exaclty like KC when she smiles, same dimples and all but the moment she is serious so looks like her dad. I'd say thats a pretty good mixing of DNA

Holland I loved meeting you, even if you wouldn't smile for the camera. KC, thanks for giving me 3 hours of your utah trip and for the pictures. Love you both!!!

Lets get together, yea yea yea!

I can not believe it is already they middle of August. I really don't want September to come. I love long sunny days, hours at the pool, Saturdays spent at the lake, and warm summer night concerts. It seems like summer is flying by and while it feels like I haven't done much, looking back this has been a great summer.

Mom and Dad came into town for the week and we got to go boating up at Deer Creek. Chris and his family came, along with uncle Carl, and Uncle Steven, Cashia, and Rob too. Even though we had to be on the boat the whole time (no beaching allowed in the rental) it was surprising fun and not too cramped.
Uncle Steven and Presley bonded
Chris trying his skills out on the surfboard (love the face!)
Beautiful Tara
I did not like this tube. I got whiplash. But at least I got in the water :)
Uncle Carl
Captain Bob

Went bowling one night in Park City with some of the group I met down at Lake Powell this year.
Jodie and I sporting some super sweet bowling socks! (I still really love my heart bowling shoes)
Our winning team!

Tim McGraw and Lady Antebellum came to Usana, we decided the day of we wanted to go. We made some calls and got 4 tickets for free, we needed 8. The concert was sold out so we missed lady A, but managed to find a scalper just in time to get in for Tim McGraw. I forgot how great he is live. It was so fun!!!

All day long just takin it easy

I love Lake Powell. My goal has been to have 1 powell trip a year and even though it was last minute, I was lucky enough to spend July 4th at Lake Powell. I barely knew anyone who was going but I had met 2 of the guys on the singles cruise this past Jan and one of the girls, Jodie, I have just gotten to know through mutual friends. There were 19 of us total and it was incredibly chill and had to be the most perfect powell trip I have ever been on. Everyone was chill and the weather was perfect, hot at night and cool in the evenings. Now I have a beautiful tan and a handful of new friends. I swear, lake powell is the best place in utah.
Jodie and I on the first day at the marina
1 of the speedboats we had and 2 of the girls out on the paddle boards. These were SO MUCH FUN!!! As soon as I have storage space I am getting me one of those
This is Kevin, the owner of the speed boat and one of the guys I met on the cruise
All the girls on the last day (well the last day for 5 of us, the others were lucky enough to stay until wed)

If you think you might come to California...i think you should

I was lucky enough to go home at the end of May to house sit while my parents were in Europe. Had a chance to catch up with some high school friends and my friend Lynsey came for about a week.
My huge obsession has to be Pinkberry, the best frozen yogurt I think I have ever had.
I even made it up to San Fran a few times. Doesnt this fruit look delicious?!
Peony's have to be one of my all time favorite flowers, Can you believe how beautiful these are?
On our last day we went to Santa Cruz to enjoy the sun and sand before heading back to utah (it snowed while I was gone)

Lynsey had never been to San Francisco so we went out to dinner, dancing, saw all the sites, and even managed to squeeze in a showing of Wicked. It was so fun, just wish we had had more time

I sure do love the Bay Area. It was the perfect mini vacation, minus puppy getting sick. Thanks for going out of town mom and dad! I will stay at Hotel Hammond anytime you are gone!

And every word is nonsense but I understand

Thanks to KC for being my inspiration she has been using song lyrics as blog titles and now that Kim has joined in, I decided I would too...I cant be the only one left out. So if "every word is nonsense", you should understand it is most likely from a song!

This note was delivered to our table the other night...

Good to meet you ____, I just spent $24.73 on quite a bit of average food. BUT, I would LOVE to spend at LEAST that on YOU, next week. OR we could keep it simple and spend $4.53 on some frozen yogurt and a scooter ride :)
Anyway, your smile is perfect and your friends probably are too. Do you think I am cute?

Bowling

My friends and I have a new found love for bowling. Now to me bowling is incredibly fun but if you think about it extremely dirty. I try not to think about how many feet have been inside those shoes or how many dirty fingers have touched that ball...but after going two times a week, my mind always thinks of all the dirt and germs. You may think I am taking this new love and turning it into an obsession, but I dont care. I just ordered my very own pair of pimp bowling shoes. No one will look as good as me out there as I bowl strike after strike! Ok, im not that good, but hopefully once those super sweet bowling shoes of my own get here, my game will start to improve drastically.
Anyone wanna join?!

Yay!!!

Congratulations to KC and Ashton! Baby Grewal is due in June...and yes she just found out. I am so happy for them and just wanted to publicly share my joy. Hope it is a girl so she can play with Aisley and so KC, when you are left all alone while Ashton works, you can spoil a little girl, or maybe its more so that I can spoil your little girl ;-)

Boys will be boys

My good friend Justin called me the other day and after a few minutes of talking, I realized he wasn't his cheerful energetic self. When I asked why, he referred me to a video similar to this one.

It amazes me what guys will do in the name of competition. I have to say, even after watching this, I'm not sure I can eat a buffalo wing for awhile, can you imagine eating over 50 wings in a sitting???? GROSS
